Jordan

Jordan manages to diplomatically balance its large refugee population, particularly of Palestinians, its relatively calm relationship with Israel, and its relatively good relations with Iraq. Because of the comparatively stable political situation and a substantial number of attractions, the country has managed to establish itself as a popular tourist spot. Due to the hostile conditions in the desert, most of the population concentrates in the west along the Jordan River.
