Palestinian Territories

More than 60 years have passed since the “Nakba”, or the catastrophy of displacement, and the Palestinian people are still seeking justice in order to live with dignity. Inner disunity along with an unstable political environment and the powerful occupier and neighbour Israel make everyday life a constant fight for survival. The Territories are militarily and politically weak relative to Israel. This, along with competing and overlapping interests by states and groups, internal and external, has created a situation where the Palestinians are treated as pawns, unable to determine their own future.
