Turkey
Turkey contributes to the HUMMUS region with its Hatay, or Liwaa Region, and the Cucurova Plain in the central southern part of the country. This area, cut off from the rest of Turkey by the Taurus Mountains, is known for its multicultural society and for economic success, especially in cross-border business. In general, Turkey has managed to establish itself as the regionīs political mediator.
